About

This website's goal is to promote free and open source software implementation, study and development in the Philippines. It aims to be a repository of F/OSS related activities within the country.

It will do this by maintaining a:

  • Members directory.
  • A FOSS club, org or association directory.
  • A Content Aggregator, collecting information about local FOSS development and usage from various blogs, websites, mailing lists, etc.- done, check index page.
  • A registry of different FOSS related local developments. So far we have a list of Applications and Distributions.

    • Why?

    Linux.org.ph's main goal is to publish Philippine - related F/OSS activity in the hope that this will foster its growth.
