PLUG will join I.T. Expo 2008, to be held at Philippine Trade Training Center from Sep. 30 (Saturday) to Oct 2 (Tuesday), 2008.

We highly encourage all PLUG mailing list members to come, meet and say hello to all the other members whom they have not otherwise had a chance to meet before on this 4 day event.

PLUG, as everyone knows, is starting to rev up its membership in order to once again become active. We are hoping to use this event as an opportunity to rally current member base and help determine PLUG strength and chart a course for its future.

This site was unavailable a few days ago due to a botched up update attempt. My Oops. As of today, everything's dandy again. PLUG on.

In other news, there will be another informal mini - meet tomorrow at Bo's Coffee, the Basement of Robinson's Galleria, Ortigas Center, Pasig, Thursday, July 31, 2008.

People who had been unable to join us last Saturday at Starbuck's Araneta Center Cubao are encouraged to come today, but if unable, don't worry, I'll make sure to update everyone via this site as well.

As of yesterday, the domains linux.org.ph and plug.linux.org.ph resolve to this site. Development is continuing and I have posted a laundry list on the Phil. Drupal site for someone to take up.

I am preparing the site to handle the OOXML issue, currently actively discussed on PLUG's mailing list. I have sent out invites to everyone who commented re the issue, as they are best qualified, and encourage others to do the same.

The PLUG website is aggregating PLUG related content from its members. This will achieve the ff.:

1. Provides Always fresh, relevant content.
2. Negates the need for resident editor to have to make content himself.
3. Distribution of PLUG related info amongst its members and the public.
4. Will help PLUG website editor (well, just me at the moment) figure out who are the writers and content producers amongst us which will help when we need to create content later on.
